Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number or address, goes to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what you decide to share, and we use that material to answer the inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting system creates ordinary server logs that can include an IP address, browser type, visited pages and timestamps. Aggregate use helps diagnose errors and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when present, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement and page improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, county and state offices, library collections and outside search services. Information submitted after leaving Cary People Search is controlled by the destination's policy. The same applies to sponsored results, which an outside company provides.
Who Receives Site Data
Providers that host or support the site process logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information already described. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Data Security and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Since there are no user accounts, Cary People Search stores no account password or member profile.
People Under Age 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have submitted personal data so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct or delete data vary by location. North Carolina does not have a broad consumer-data deletion law that applies to every business, though sector-specific protections still apply. Because we retain little information, we can search our contact mailbox and logs for a request made through the Contact page. Records held by Cary, Wake County, Chatham County or North Carolina remain outside our control. Requests involving protected identifiers in a public record should go to the custodian under the applicable N.C.G.S. ยง132-1.10 process.
